This is perhaps-most-generally known as retorsion. I should note that kutschkem's explanation should actually be sufficient, then, but I will mention a way to interpret the "situation" in terms of quantification.
I.e., a universally quantified proposition might "anticipate" the existence of an instance, but in such a way that having this instance distorts or compromises the intended semantic value of the universal proposition. That is, we are speaking of the predicative/impredicative distinction as well. So for example the axiom/scheme of unrestricted comprehension, or the universal comprehension paired with open separation, yield the Russell entity, with all that came from such a discovery.
